About Us

Steve & Carrie Raney have been raising Retrievers for the past 20 years and eventually sold their home in the city and moved to this beautiful back country with a view of Palomar Mountain. Their passion for the past 8 years has been developing Raney Ranch to breed, raise and train high quality Labrador Retrievers. Carrie handles the Retriever Breeding program and Steve handles the Retriever Conditioning, Obedience, Gun Dog and AKC Hunt Test program starting at the Junior Hunt Test level thru the Master Hunt Test level along with Retriever trainer Rob Trenholm who had joined Raney Ranch in 2009.
