Retriever Training
Raney Ranch Retrievers have partnered up with Bobby Purser a self-taught trainer that has used numerous Mike Lardy videos and seminars combined with his knowledge from working with his own dogs, to perfect his training program. He is always studying new developments and will give each individual dog the training and needs they will require. We offer boarding with exercise, obedience training, head start programs for puppies and basic, transition and advanced training programs. Included in all the programs is an oral evaluation of the client's dog.

Programs

All fees include feeding, boarding, birds, and training. There are no hidden costs. All dogs must have the bordetello vaccination and heart worm medication provided at the owner's expense and immunizations must be up to date for the safety and health of each dog. We feed only Extreme Dog Fuel Performance to provide excellent nutrition.

Boarding with Exercise ($20 per day)
Dogs are aired and exercised approximately 20 – 30 minutes per day with an opportunity to retrieve and swim.

Boarding with Conditioning: ($25 per day)
Dogs are retrieving bumpers/birds twice a day on land and water using whistles and launchers.

Obedience Training: The dogs stay at our kennel during their training and housed in individual runs. This includes a session with you and the trainer, as well as any follow up sessions you may need: $700 for four weeks

Puppy Head Start: This is for pups 18 weeks to six months old. Introduction to water, birds, and basic obedience commands. Our goal is to make each puppy as "birdy" as possible and to love the retrieving game.
It is an introduction to the skills needed for more advance Gun Dog training.Cost: $500.00/month

Basic Program: Introduction to basic training. Obedience is the foundation of all retriever training. Obedience includes sit (stay), here, and heel. At this time we also begin to condition a dog to stop on a whistle. We also teach force fetch, 3 handed casting, collar condition, stick fetch, force to pile, stick to pile, T, double T, and swim by. Cost: $700.00/month.

Transition Program: Transition from the yard to the field. Pattern blinds, blind drills, diversions with pattern blinds, cold blinds, water blinds, multiple blinds, and lots of singles off multiple guns. Cost: $700.00/month.

Advanced Program: This program includes perfected handling, literal casting, casting mechanics, carry a straight line, land and water triples, how to fight the factors, and meeting the needs of each individual dog. Cost: $700.00/month.

Day Use: ($25 per day)
For the owner and his dog to use the Raney Ranch facilities for the day.
